As much as we love to keep things positive, sometimes you just need to take a step back and look at the whole picture. One thing that has been on my mind is teen suicide. I have two teenage girls and I would be absolutely  devastated if they decided to take their own life. For some here in Topeka and NE Kansas, it has happened and their lives have never been the same.

That is why Gary Newberry and his daughter Alicia have created an event that will not only honor those who have fallen, but could also help save one life. The event is called “A Night To Remember”. It is Friday, September 13th at 7:00 PM at the Gage Park Amphitheater. I spoke with both of them about the event and why they decided to this.
