You have seen the Salvation Army Red Kettles around Topeka. It has become a tradition to see people ringing the bells and greeting you with a smile. Now, one person has taken it to a whole new level.
According to a press release, one donor is willing to match up to $5,000 in donations this Saturday. The only catch is this: it has to be $20 exactly. Here is what the press release says:
One donor has put out at $5,000 challenge to Topeka shoppers this Saturday. Every $20 bill dropped in a Salvation Army Red Kettle will be matched up to $5,000, doubling the impact of each bill donated on the final Saturday of Red Kettle season.
The challenge will match every $20 bill, check written for $20, and donation for $20 via the Kettle Pay option found on every single one of the 44 Red Kettle locations in Topeka. Each kettle site will operate from 10 AM to 8 PM on Saturday.
It is coming down to the final days of the campaign. What a great way to finish off the holiday season than by helping out a great cause. There are many people in Topeka who need the assistance and this special challenge is the perfect solution. Please help by clicking here!
And remember that the Salvation Army needs your help all year long. If you can’t help now, you can still donate next year.
